Form primitives

Button

Trigger an action. The only button in the library. Adjust looks by appending Tailwind classes via className.

Input

Single-line text input. Adjust looks by appending Tailwind classes via className.

Textarea

Multi-line text input. Adjust looks by appending Tailwind classes via className.

Checkbox

A checkbox. type is fixed to "checkbox"; for a switch-styled toggle, set role="switch" plus your own visual className — this is the intended replacement for a separate Switch component.

Select

Styled wrapper around the native <select>. Pass <option> children. No custom dropdown — mobile-native, keyboard-native, screen-reader-native.

Combobox

Controlled single-select combobox. Input filters options by substring on label; ArrowDown/Up highlight, Enter selects, Escape closes. No multi-select — use Downshift for that.

Layout / structure

Dialog

Modal dialog on the native <dialog>. Control via ref.current.showModal() and ref.current.close(). The browser handles focus trap, Escape, backdrop click, and inert background.

Tabs

Stateless tabs: Tabs (tablist container), Tab (button), TabPanel (content). The caller owns the selected value. Arrow keys move focus and click the sibling; the caller's onClick updates state.

Overlay / feedback

Popover

Controlled top-layer popup using the native <div popover>. Provide an `anchor` ref to place it below that element, or omit it for the browser's centered default. "auto" mode: Escape and outside-click close it and fire onOpenChange(false).
Any React content lives here. Press Escape or click outside to close.

Menu

Anchored menu on Popover. Caller flips `open`; each MenuItem's onClick fires. Arrow keys navigate; Escape / outside-click close.

Tooltip

Tooltip that wraps a trigger element. Opens on hover (150ms delay) or focus, closes on unhover, blur, or Escape. Associates content back to the trigger via aria-describedby.

Toast

Stateless toast in the top layer. Caller owns open state, timing, and dismissal (render a close Button in children, or set a timeout). For a queue + toast() sugar, use Sonner — the library intentionally does not ship an imperative API.
